We were thrilled to provide the floral arrangements for Rocio and Richard’s beautiful summers day wedding in August on the stunning grounds of BLAKE HALL!
Blake Hall
Blake Hall is a stunning, beautifully restored 17th-century barn set 60 acres of formal gardens and woodlands and surrounding areas for exclusive use for weddings, wedding receptions and other special occasions.
In the newly restored Hay Barn or outside under the canopy of the old Saddlery, Blake Hall makes an incredible venue for a wedding.
The Flowers
Rocio and Richard chose a wedding with a fresh, contemporary style with a subtle, rustic vibe, in keeping with the immaculate gardens and barn setting at Blake Hall.
We combined lots of summer foliage, which is a popular look with many of our couples who are looking for a natural and garden like vibe. The use of foliage blends into most settings from country gardens, barns and farms to vineyards and stately homes.
The green foliage is such a strong colour and brings life to the arrangements. Like many of us, Rocio loves eucalyptus, (don’t we all?) so this was used throughout the arrangements.
Rocio wanted to incorporate warm pops of colours mixed with white and green flowers for her bouquet. We used Garden Roses, Cafe Latte, Cappuccino and dusky pink tones, combined with dark pink Astible, White Freesias, White Wax Flower and Veronica.
The bridesmaids wore sage green – such a neutral colour that always looks stunning and really compliments the pink hues of the bridal bouquet.
For the venue décor, we combined subtle, rustic touches – a wooden crate filled with flowers and foliage worked both for a ceremony table decoration and later at the reception it was the centrepiece for the top table.
The guest table centrepieces included a foliage wreath ring with a chunky candle in a cylindrical vase, bringing colour, beautiful scents and candlelight to the stunning barn setting.
