Hutton Hall Wedding

The Venue

Hutton Hall has been lovingly restored with its interiors carefully designed to strike the balance between traditional elegance and a contemporary look – a perfect match that delivers a fantastic wedding venue.

The hall itself is a stunning Grade II listed Georgian manor house, nestling within eight acres of tree-lined, beautifully manicured gardens and is partially surrounded by a moat that leads you gently towards a private gate opposite Hutton’s 14th century village Church. Couples are advised to contact the vicar or the dean to discuss a church wedding.

The Wedding

Alexandra and Alexander have been together for 5.5 years, after meeting through mutual friends (one of whom is their Best Man, and the other is a Bridesmaid) on a ski holiday in Morzine.  They chatted for weeks before meeting up, then dated, seeing each other just on weekends as they lived 2 hours apart.  After 18 months Alex moved to London for work and shortly after they moved in together.  They got engaged in front of all their families at a party at home, and celebrated into the night before booking their Big Day just 9 days later!

The vision for the wedding was Traditional romantic with a modern twist. Alexandra and Alexander wanted to create something unique but true to themselves. They both wanted a traditional church wedding but they also wanted glamour and colour.  Incorporating lots of traditional elements but made it modern by adding their own twist to certain things like their entertainment, favours and bridal party colours.  The couple are all about fun and laughter, and they want their guests to have a day to remember.

Alexandra and Alexander love spending time with family and friends, they love food, and they love to dance…so they were looking forward to doing all their favourite things on their wedding day!  They were excited for people to see their flowers and decor, as they think it is really “them”.  They are also super excited for people to see the bridesmaids and their entertainment later in the day as they’ve kept those elements a surprise.

What The Bride and Groom Said

I cannot recommend Suzanne and Little Tin Shed Flowers more highly. She was the florist my best friend had in 2019 and when I got engaged in 2021 I just knew I have to reach out to her. She did not let me down!

After an initial call going through ideas and Pinterest, we settled on all white flowers. We then completely changed our minds, going for pops of pastel colours. Suzanne didn’t falter once, she wrapped her arms around our new brief and delivered over and above all our expectations.

She knew exactly the style and vibe we wanted, and she brought my vision to life in a way I didn’t know was possible.

Suzanne is kind, patient and knowledgeable – and above all clearly loves what she does. Everyone commented on our flowers, and they still do – we even paid to have them preserved as we couldn’t bear never to see them again.

Thank you Suzanne, you are a diamond!
