We had all the beach vibes with this wedding! Osea Island in Essex is such a unique wedding venue. Amy was a guest on the island for a work event and fell in the love with the place. She just knew it was the venue to have her dream wedding.
ABOUT OSEA ISLAND
An idyllic haven basking serenely on the Blackwater Estuary, yet remarkably, just a little over an hour’s drive from the city!
WEDDING FLOWERS
A relaxed vibe with a rustic and coastal feel. We included lots of loose natural foliage with a hint of blue and coastal growing wildflowers, such as thistles, and used hints of blue, blush, and peach
Outside Beach Ceremony
Beachside ceremony on a lovely summer day! Amy & Billy had the legal part of the wedding done and dusted beforehand using a celebrant to marry them on the day thus offering a much more personal and bespoke service.
We dressed the gazebo with a floral arch that was attached to the frame and completely foam-free, without a doubt a stunning addition to the ceremony. We also had pew ends to mark out the aisle. Later, these were brought inside and placed on the top table.
Reception décor
The reception was held in the Bomb Factory with a rather impressive circular bar as the focal point in the entrance area. To make the bar even more of a feature we installed a 2m diameter foliage chandelier which created a real inside/outside vibe and made a stunning showpiece.
We followed this theme inside with more foliage hanging for the ceiling and the back wall behind the bride and groom. The top table has a foliage runner, and we were able to repurpose the pew ends and bridal bouquets. They were placed on the top table combined with lots of foliage.
The guest tables were round and were filled with a tablescape of candles and flowers which contributed to the undoubtedly romantic summer vibe.
