My Story

SUZANNE

I retrained as a florist after my own wedding in 2002. At the time I was working in Canary Wharf in investment banking so of course I headed to the West End to be trained by one of the best, Jane Packer. I even had the honour of meeting her. Which was such an inspiration for a wannabe florist.

After completing almost every workshop Jane Packer had on offer I then enrolled at Greenwich Community College to complete the professional certification in Floristry. Soon after graduating from floristry college I followed my passion and dream and started my own business as a wedding florist. This was over 15 years ago! So much has changed in the both the wedding and the flower industry over the years. That is what I love about being a commercial florist keeping ahead of the trends and continuously work on new styles and designs.

I become involved and part of Little Tin Shed in 2015 and loved everything about the business and the brand. I took over the ownership in 2018.

The story of Little Tin Shed

The name “Little Tin Shed” originates from a simple passing moment. Whilst commuting home on a snowy winter’s eve, Joanna the founder of Little Tin Shed was sheltered in a little tin shed on the train platform on the daily commute home from work.

Daydreaming and there you have it – the concept for Little Tin Shed sprung to mind.

Joanna left Little Tin Shed in 2018 to spend time with her family and to pursue an exciting new business venture.

By choosing Little Tin Shed, you are supporting small business in the UK; something of a passion point for us having ourselves faced the challenges of starting a business from our dining table!

A beautiful August wedding for Laura & Charles at Gaynes Park 🤍 We absolutely loved creating the flowers for this one. ✨ Happy 2nd Anniversary, Charlotte & James! ✨⁠ ⁠ Two years ago today, Charlotte & James said “I do” at the beautiful Baddow Park House. 🤍🥂⁠ ⁠ Having been together for nine years after meeting at university, their wedding was full of personality, colour and a little touch of magic.⁠ ⁠ With Irish family roots, a love of wildflowers and bright colours, and two very special pet rabbits, the couple took inspiration from **Alice in Wonderland** to create their own whimsical wedding wonderland. 🐇🌸✨⁠ ⁠ Their colourful, wildflower-inspired florals brought the whole theme to life, with our faux floral arch creating a beautiful backdrop for their ceremony before being moved behind the top table for the celebrations.⁠ ⁠ And after getting engaged in South Africa in November 2022, their wedding day was the perfect way to celebrate their love story surrounded by family and friends. 🥂⁠ ⁠ Wishing you both the happiest 2nd anniversary, Charlotte & James.
